Gloria Mellesmoen Talk: “Community” Morphemes: A Theory-Informed Reanalysis of Reduplication in ʔayʔaǰuθəm

Gloria Mellesmoen considers reduplication (doubling sounds), which is used to build up words in all 23 Salish languages. Due to the context-dependent nature of reduplicative morpheme forms, a challenge arises when trying to pin down a single meaning to an expansive and near limitless set of sounds.
